Composer Interviews

Updated: Jul 12, 2018

A fabulous meeting of minds last night - A group of us from the AGSC joined Catherine Joy of the Alliance for Women Screen Composers for an informal discussion. From the AWFC FB post:

“Advocate, Amplify, Educate”, was presented by the Alliance for Women Film Composers and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers this week, moderated by Ellie Cumming (Communications Coordinator of AWFC) and hosted by Jo Smith (Executive Director of AGSC) in the Beresford’s lovely home. Gathered there was a community of composers and colleagues who all strive to support and celebrate the work of women composers through advocacy and education. Our goal was to create an international community of support and encouragement to emerging composers, as well as provide a safe space for communication and meeting new people in the industry, where we learnt from the experiences of our wonderful panellists, Catherine Joy, Angela Little, Amanda Brown, Nerida Tyson-Chew and Caitlin Yeo (President of AGSC) who shared their industry-related stories. A successful night that has kick-started a productive relationship between the AWFC and the AGSC!"
