About The Event

Following on from the success of a similar event in Sydney earlier this year the  Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC), the Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG) and Support Act are proud to invite you to a two-hour seminar about the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues in our industry.

The evening will elaborate on how these symptoms can be managed and what you can do to help artists, colleagues and friends while ensuring your own self-care.

This will be a practical and informative session run by Brendan Birch, a trained AccessEAP clinician with experience in providing service to the music industry through the Support Act Well-being Helpline.

The workshop will be introduced by Brett Aplin, Vice President of the AGSC.

More About Brendan Birch - AccessEAP

Brendon is a clinical counsellor, coach and facilitator and holds a Master of Clinical Counselling with over 20 years’ experience across training, advocacy and education.

Over the past decade Brendon has spoken to over 150,000 people across community, church and school environments, coaching and empowering others.

Brendon also holds a Cert IV in training and development and is a member of the Australian Counselling Association.
