Tim Count is a director, composer/producer of studio/production house MDS founded in 2003 based in Subiaco,Western Australia. It is a company that creates music and sound design for a wide range of productions. These range from feature film and short film scores, documentaries and television series soundtracks for clients such as the ABC, BBC, Discovery channel, National Geographic etc, right through to music for TV commercials both here and overseas.

Graduated from jazz piano and arranging at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and continues to lecture in music technology and composition at WAAPA on a sessional basis.

Is a member of Australian Guild of Screen Composers, APRA, and Australian Screen Sound Guild.
Tim has won the advertising industry’s Upson Medal for Sound three times.

Nominated for best music in a documentary at the 2015 Australian Screen Music Awards.
