Michael Lira is an Australian composer and musician. After playing crazy live music for far too long, he now focuses on film scoring.
His most notable film scores include the Ozploitation Zombie hit - Wyrmwood : Road Of The Dead (2014) , Growing Up Smith directed by Frank Lotito and starring Jason Lee, Daniel Nettheim's The Hunter (2011) (Co composed with Matteo Zingales ) starring Willem Dafoe.
Latest projects include the score for the 'bat shit crazy' feature Nekrotronic by the Roache-Turner brothers starring Monica Bellucci as well as the documentary 'A Turtle Odyssey' starring Bunji the turtle and narrated by Russell Crowe. Both projects were recorded at Trackdown Studios Sydney and performed by The Sydney Scoring Orchestra
