Dale Cornelius has been described as highly inventive, a truly unique artist, and having an ability to evoke an immediate emotional connection with an audience through music. His distinct scores and musical diversity have made him one of Australia’s premiere film and television composers. Dale has received multiple nominations and awards for his work in television drama, documentary and feature film here in Australia and overseas, amongst which; winning the AACTA for Best Sound/Music in a Documentary (2013) for Dr. Sarmast’s Music School and Best Television Theme Award at the Australian Screen Music Awards (2013) for The Doctor Blake Mysteries. He has composed music for feature films, television drama, reality TV series, children’s television series, telemovies, documentary series and feature length documentaries. Some of Dale’s work includes; supernatural thriller feature film ‘Backtrack’, starring Adrien Brody and Sam Neil, 'Mother With A Gun' for Netflix U.S. and being commissioned twice to compose all the music for Australia’s pavilions at World Expo in Nagoya, Japan and Shanghai, China.
