2007 APRA – AGSC Screen Music Awards
The winners of the 2007 APRA-AGSC Screen Music Awards were announced in Sydney on Tuesday, 27 November.
The unstoppable HG Nelson proved himself to be an MC extraordinaire while musical director Paul Grabowsky provided beautifully orchestrated renditions of some of the nominated works throughout the Ceremony. Rachel Ward, Gary Sweet and Iva Davies were amongst the highly respected presenters of the Awards.
Nigel Westlake collected an impressive three Awards this year including his fifth Award for Feature Film Score of the Year. These three Awards add to his already hearty stockpile of nine Screen Music Awards won across various categories.
The Wiggles continue to have substantial success overseas, this year winning both the Most Performed Screen Composer – Overseas and the 2007 International Achievement Award. The Wiggles have previously won for Best Music for Children’s Television in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1999.
All of the winners were at the Ceremony to accept their Awards and joined 500 friends and industry luminaries at a black tie dinner at the Westin Hotel following the Awards Ceremony.
